Sectioning Products
Choosing the right model depends on sample size, material properties, level of precision and automation, desired throughput and budget. The diameter of the blade needed to pass through the sample is often the determining factor and may limit model choices. Labs needing to section a wide variety of samples should choose a model with greater versatility and capability. Any sectioning machine, when equipped with the proper blade type, is capable of cutting nearly any material.
Semiautomatic Sectioning
Semiautomatic machines provide quantitative control of sectioning parameters, improving productivity and repeatability.
Manual Sectioning
Manual machines involve qualitative operator control to move the blade through the sample, or move the sample through the blade.
TechCut 4x
Semiautomatic Sectioning
The TechCut 4x™ is a smaller scale, precision sectioning saw featuring a gravity-fed arm that guides the sample through the cut, with a mechanical stop that when reached triggers the shut-off sensor for unattended operation.
PowerCut 10x
Manual Sectioning
The PowerCut 10x™ is a large format abrasive cut-off saw with a wheel capacity of up to 10″ (250 mm) for regular cutting of samples ranging in thickness up to about 3″ (65 mm). Its swing-arm design positions the blade down into…
