Powerful grinding/polishing system designed to withstand various glove box environments (i.e., alpha-radiation inert).
The MetPrep 3GB™ Glove Box Grinder/Polisher with PH-3™ Power Head is a powerful system for semiautomatic operation sample preparation. It is designed to withstand glove box environments and has an overall reduced size to fit through most portholes (some “in box” assembly required). Critical components of the machine have been removed to an external (remote) control box. Removable cover/side plates allow easy access for serviceability.
Intuitive menu navigation with a user-friendly touchpad interface and backlit LCD make them easy to use and program. The microprocessor-based system allows up to 25 programmable steps, including parameters for platen speed, comp/contra rotation (sample holder/platen), cycle time, sample force (LbF or N), sample rotation speed and force reduction (on/off, %)
Either aluminum or magnetic platens may be used with any plain/adhesive-backed or magnetic system disc. Special 6-month lead time.

Details
Quick Slide Vice – can be positioned anywhere along the T-slots, and allow samples up to 3″ (76 mm) deep to be secured.
Chamber Cleaning – simply adjust the valve to redirect coolant from the blade to the cleaning hose.
Vertical Adjusting Clamp – can be positioned in any orientation throughout the T-slots in the tables.
