Compact Mitutoyo Hardmatic HH-300 Durometers with Shore A & D Measurement, Built to ASTM, ISO, and JIS Standards

The Mitutoyo Hardmatic HH-300 Series Durometers consists of compact, handheld digital and dial durometers designed for measuring the indentation hardness of rubber, plastics, and elastomers. Supporting Shore A (soft/medium) and Shore D (hard) scales, these devices conform to ASTM D2240, ISO 868, and JIS standards.

Measuring hardness simply requires pressing the hardness tester against the specimen and reading the indicated value. The series includes a “long” type that has a slender cylindrical shape which can measure the hardness at the bottom of grooves or holes, as well as exposed surfaces of hard rubbers and plastics.

The “compact” version fits snugly into the palm for ease of measurement, and is better suited for measuring soft rubber, sponge, felt or hard foam.
