Robust Mounting Solutions
Proper mounting is essential for stability and accuracy during preparation. Allied offers a complete range of mounting resins, from fast-curing acrylics to durable epoxies, along with high-quality accessories to ensure secure, consistent results. Each product is rigorously tested for performance and reliability, giving you confidence in every mount.
Cold/Casting Resin
Cold mounting is recommended when encapsulating samples that cannot withstand the heat and pressure of compression mounting, when better flow and penetration of the mounting resin is needed, or when a large quantity of samples must be encapsulated at once.
Hot/Compression Resin
Hot/Compression mounting is an economical method of encapsulating samples that can withstand the pressure and heat of the mounting process. A variety of mounting powders are available and include a measuring scoop.
Mold Release
These Mold Releases create a buffer on mold surfaces that inhibits adhesion between the cured resin and mold.
Epoxy Dissolver
Designed for efficient epoxy removal, heated epoxy dissolvers break down cured and semi‑cured material in as little as 15–20 minutes.
PCB Indexing Pins
Tight tolerance, precision ground steel pins are used to align and “gang” mount PCB coupons so that all through holes are on a common plane prior to mounting/encapsulation.
Wax/Glue
These 2-part, low viscosity epoxy resins are engineered for specialized bonding applications, featuring excellent adhesion, chemical resistance and thermal/electrical resistance.
Acrylic Dye
Acrylic dye is used to produce color contrast in acrylic resin. The product ONLY mixes with QuickCure acrylic and products with similar chemistry.
Mixing/Stirring
These mixing cups are suitable for mixing epoxy and acrylic resins and feature a graduated scale to help with precise volumetric measurements.
Mounting Cups/Molds
2-part cups are reusable and have a separate bottom allowing easy mount removal after curing. Metric size cups are transparent, and compatible with UV light curing resins.
Sample Holding Clips/Stands
A variety of clips hold thin samples on edge for encapsulation. Use metal for compression mounting and plastic for cold mounting.
Glass Slides/Mounts
Borosilicate glass slides and cover slips support delicate samples and withstand high temperatures for precise cross‑section and thin‑section preparation.
